HipServ® is a complete home server software platform and applications suite that allows OEMs to go to market quickly with a branded home server solution.  It is a highly secure and stable home server that can be used to store, manage, share, view or listen to digital content. Users can collect and store digital entertainment including personal photos, videos and music in a central, secure home server.  The HipServ platform runs on a wide range of hardware platforms and is also available through Axentra’s white box program.

Processor Platforms

HipServ supports the broadest range of computing devices including embedded processors from Marvel and Freescale.  HipServ operates on a broad range of processor technology including ARM, PowerPC, XScale, and x86. 

The HipServ software platform is optimized for embedded processors, improving performance and usability.  HipServ benefits from using an enterprise class Linux operating system with modular software components that can enable HipServ to deliver the features and price points that are competitive.

HipServ’s flexibility and modularity allows OEMs to use their existing platform base, still realize many of the benefits of HipServ, and deliver a HipServ enabled solution rapidly to market.

Online Services
The HipServ framework also provides the ability to integrate to online service offerings, and can deliver these services and associated advertising directly to CPEs running the HipServ platform.

OEMs can provide direct access to existing services and can use the HipServ platform to deliver single sign-on for authentication to third party service offerings and portals.

HipServ is the ideal platform to build custom solutions for an OEM.  Every component of HipServ is modular to cater to OEMs specific product needs.  The available applications and the user interfaces can be customized to meet any OEM needs.
 
HipServ® VM for Windows (BETA)
Personal Media enjoyment whenever, wherever available for PC Home Servers
Axentra’s HipServ VM for Windows BETA, is now available for licensing to OEMs and distribution partners that have an interest in digital home media solutions.  HipServ VM installed on Windows now provides many of the capabilities of HipServ on the PC Platform, enabling users to Save, Show, Sync & Share their digital content from their Windows PC.

HipServ VM will also allow users to backup their digital content to integrated online services. Other online services will be offered directly through the HipServ interface.

HipServ VM is the perfect software offering for any OEM that develops products that produce or manage digital content.  Digital imaging equipment or software manufacturers, mobile communication and handheld device manufacturers, and memory or peripheral manufacturers can now offer a complete digital home software application with their products.
