T-Online Venture Fund Invests in Axentra

HipServ Home Server Software Platform Gets Backing from Tier One Service Provider

Bonn/Ottawa, October 23, 2007 - T-Online Venture Fund today announced an investment in Axentra, makers of the award-winning HipServ Home Server software platform that puts consumers’ digital content at their fingertips, both in the home and remotely. The fund is managed by T-Venture Holding GmbH, the corporate venture capital entity of Deutsche Telekom. The 6 million US$ Series A funding in Axentra is led by T-Online Venture Fund.

The investment is part of a broader strategic initiative to equip Deutsche Telekom business units with technology that can be used to offer value-added services to mobile and broadband customers. Deutsche Telekom, also known in the US for their mobile arm, T-Mobile, is one of the worldwide leading telecommunication companies with over 61 Billion Euros Revenue (80 Billion Dollars) in 2006.
