• October 2003: Axentra launches Rumba, the world first consumer home gateway/server with built-in secure remote access and sharing. A small form factor unit, Rumba was available through computer retail catalogues and online stores.
• October 2004: Axentra launches NetBox, the world first consumer home gateway/server available at retail in North-America, winner of the CES 2005 G4Tech Best of Show Award. A powerful line of home servers, the Net-Box series popularized the concept through retail channels in the US and the UK.
• October 2007: Axentra and LaCie launch the LaCie ED-Mini Home Edition HipServ Home Media Server, the world’s first mass-market embedded home media server, winner of the 2007 Digital Lifestyle Best of Show Award. The LaCie ED mini Home Edition, still available today at retail around the world, rapidly became a resounding success combining state of the art software with sleek and powerful hardware all packaged and sold for a very affordable price.
• October 2008: Axentra, LaCie and France Telecom’s Orange launch the Orange Internet Space Media Server, the world’s first home server deployed by a leading service provider.
